Cast aside for their abated weakness
Sublime compassion diluted into a watery grave
Humanity with such inhumane deliverance
Strength in numbers has led to my wandering ideals
Never known - Never felt
Never mind - It never ends
Never realise - Nevertheless
Never mind - It never ends
As their tears cascade I wipe away
With my caring hands
As they shift their consciousness
As it falls towards the ground
The tears, your tears slowly penetrate
The earth, the tree, under my feet
The strength in numbers now cause a flood
As the tears fall towards the ground
The tears, your tears slowly penetrate
The earth, the tree, where I lay
A paradise degraded and destroyed
Fed liquidised compassion
I struggle to maintain an empathetic outlook
Upon the self destructive masses
As the decline begins to unfold

Abigail Williams has had a weird career with hiatuses and lineup changes, but they have finally perfected their sound on Walk Beyond the Dark. This album has such a refreshing and natural feeling that makes it one of the top atmospheric black metal albums of recent years. Ryan

A truly stellar death/doom album with heavy doses of black metal. Tracks like Isolation, Child of Light, and Broken Hymns deliver the sorrowful and icy tone of this album, elevated by the stirring cello compositions of Raphael Weinroth-Browne. The album delivers a deeply satisfying crescendo in Becoming Intangible before stirring the soul once again with Epilogue. Matt Richardson
